Hello I have always liked your stamping videos I have a package to mail to you. Where should I mail it to? Thanks Aaron ionta 1303 Dundmore dr Waconia, Minnesota 55387
TRiangle...must have :))
Great video! I appreciate you taking it slow, with specific details and up close illustrations. That’s what beginners need to be able to get started, also with options available along the way. Keep up the great work, will look for more in the future. Thanks
I found this to be very helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your time. Now I have to go buy that triangle tool.
Interesting thank you for posting
I'm a beginner with leather craft what if you change the size of your stamp to smaller after making your two passes to continue your spiral inwardly another two passes
Great tutorial thank you

Excellent close up shots! Thanks, Johan!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Johan! It was just what I was looking for as I'm getting into Leather working.
What brand of stamp are you using? Thanks
The one in the video is a Barry King. Current favorites are the brass stamps sold by Tandy. Those basket weaves are nice and crisp.
Just followed this vid and super happy with the feather I made! Thank you for making all these vids, I have been working my way through a lot of them. I do not have a hair blade/hair tool, so for the fine detail line I held 5 sewing needles in a line and scored the leather with that. A little fiddly, but it worked well.
I just tried the first version. It is some of the first tooling I have ever done, and I found it quite relaxing and was very happy with the result! I am planning on making a notebook for my DnD campaign and planning to use this on the cover.
Baie mooi meneer! Dankie vir al die idees
Slim man
Thank you for this! I love to carve bark in clay and now I can do it in leather 🤗 oh goodie.
I'm jaw dropped you made this from one tool 😮 it's a beautiful pattern. Thank you for the lesson sir.
Great vid, as always. Glad to see a post from you!!!!!
Muchas gracias 👍
Amazing!! Absolutely brilliant!!
Where do I find your instructions on how to deal with streaking problems after using th hi-lite stain?
It’s the eye lash tool. 😊
Better yet get a roll of rug tape, not carpet tape, cut it to size with scissors and attach to the bottom of the straight edge. It will not move and you can make a perfect cut.
Still prefer the Tandy tracing film only. Problem with the technique you show is it is not possible to see where the pattern is going perfectly on a piece that already has a border. When using the film I only use Sharpie ultra fine point markers. They don’t smear just remember to mark top on the pattern.
Awesome!

Very nice, Johan, an excellent way for crafters to differentiate our products!
Maravilhosa ideia 💡, parabéns 👏👏👏👏
Where can I buy carving tools that have a heavy fat shaft as you used in this video. I believe the shaft is approx 30 cm.
I'm super intrigued by that last style used in the swivel knife. But I made my own push beveler a couple years ago, out of an old screw driver. Just looped the top off, proceeded to hear it and beat it till it was flat in one side and curved as close to my favorite bevel stamp on the other...bent it so it felt like it would be stable, on a comfortable angle, easy to control, and offset it a little so I could see where the end was at and where we are going without my big ol paw in the way. Works good. Had to reshape it a couple times to get it to my liking, but I'd be confident in making claim that it works about as well as any store bought unit. ... Probably should have used an old wooden handled screwdriver tho... It looks a little odd with the big ribbed plastic handle in it next to my other tools.. but I guess that's not really what matters. I recommend anyone who's contemplating hunting one down go ahead n just make their own. At least to get an idea for whether you'll use a real one. I use mine more than I thought I would.... if I didn't forget about it I'd use it even more. Lol!
Bu derinin özelliği nedir? Bizim yaptığımız şekiller deri üzerinde kalıcı olmuyor
Brilliant.
I do that. It's expensive here in Brazil. We have to save money as much as we can. 😅
These are so cool!!
Podría poner el número de las herramientas? Gracias
What tools are you using?
HELP!!! Where can I purchase that #910 tool? Also what are the dimensions of the basketweave stamp you are using? Thanks Johan!!!
It is available from Tandy Leather, SKU number 6910-00
@@leatherworker Thanks! Got one and am now working on a pattern for my Grandson's Christmas belt. Is that a Tandy basket stamp?
@@divchief07ut It is.
That don’t look good.
Johan, this is very interesting, thanks. I am far from any place to buy leather stain. Is the vinegaroon acidic? I’m afraid it may rust knives if used for knife sheaths. I’ll just paint some bicarbonate soda with water over it. dankie.
😊 just finished the video, no soda!
I followed your method on a piece I made. It’s the best one yet! Thanks!
Thank you very much I bought a whole bunch of leather stamps cuter for the finger swivel cuter I just don't know how to use them they must be a hundred or so. I've been doing leather for 5 years think I'm ready to do some tooling now any help is appreciated 🙏
Really great ideas, thank you for sharing
Thank you for the inspiration. Its so nice to see how versatile a stamp is :D
Also good for ageing pine wood but high tannin woods will go black as the vinegaroon reacts with tannin. Want your pine a bit darker?...wipe it with strong tea before the vinegaroon.
These are very clear instructions. Thank you.
May I ask, what tool is that at 18:50?
It is an old Craftool 358. Not currently sold, but look out for it from estate sales. (Sorry about the late response)
